INGRAM EVENTS

Two masterful virtuosos will appear together for the first time in an eclectic evening of works for violin and piano. Leonidas Kavakos and Daniil Trifonov will take you on a journey through Beethoven's melancholy Violin Sonata No. 4, a rapturous Sonata by Poulenc, one of Brahms' most lyrical and intimate compositions, and finally the colorful and rhythmic folk dance-inspired Rhapsody for Violin and Piano by Béla Bartók.

Leonidas Kavakos is recognized across the world as a violinist and artist of rare quality, acclaimed for his matchless technique, his captivating artistry and his superb musicianship, and the integrity of his playing. He works regularly with the world’s greatest orchestras and conductors and plays as recitalist in the world’s premier recital halls and festivals. He has been Gramophone Magazine’s Artist of the Year.

Grammy Award-winning pianist Daniil Trifonov has made a spectacular ascent of the classical music world, as a solo artist, champion of the concerto repertoire, chamber and vocal collaborator, and composer. Combining consummate technique with rare sensitivity and depth, his performances are a perpetual source of awe. Daniil Trifonov "is an astonishing pianist" (The Los Angeles Times) combining consummate technique with rare sensitivity and depth, his performances are a perpetual source of awe. As The Times of London notes, he is “without question the most astounding pianist of our age.”

This will be Leonidas Kavakos' debut on the Series; Daniil Trifinov appeared for the first time on the Series in April of 2022.
